[SMART CAMPUS PLUG-IN] Allytte E-attendance

Allytte provides modular services where institutions can choose what service they want to use from our varying plug-in services. The plug-in services can be used individually or together depending on the institution’s needs.

 

 

Attendance is a great part of any education, often used to measure students’ class participation. Taking attendance in a small class is not a difficult task. However, in universities, class size can be up to hundreds causing a great load to faculty. Calling 200 names can take minutes off lecture time and designated seatings also have its downsides. Often a TA would take attendance and enter the data on the institution's ERP system. All necessary work yet painstaking. As for the students, the only way to check their attendance is to ask administrations. 

 

Allytte E-attendance is designed to reduce such workload off the faculty. 

 

 

From the Allytte app, students can check their attendance anytime and administrations no longer need to input extra time in taking the attendance. Also using QR/NFC/BLE/GPS functions of Allytte student ID, you don’t have to call names or designate seats for your students.  

 

With Allytte E-attendance, students can check-in for a class from their app. 

 

Allytte E-attendance supports below check-in methods. 

 

 

 

NFC/HCE: Tag NFC installed in the classroom.

 

 

 

BLE: Installed Bluetooth beacon will detect student’s device and automatically check-in student for a class

 

 

 

GPS: Students will enter the classroom and click ‘check-in’ from their Allytte app to record the GPS location.

 

 

 

In case a student doesn’t own a smartphone or have broken or lost it, the faculty can simply check the attendance for that specific student manually from the Allytte app. 

 

Students can view their attendance on the app at any time. If any error occurred to the attendance, the student can check at the moment and request for correction. 

 

Faculty can view the attendance from their app or Allytte E-attendance website. This will allow the faculty to keep track of any long-term absentees. 

 

Allytte E-attendance also has a messaging service. Combined with the messaging service E-attendance can be used to encourage attendance of long-term absentees, to provide a course syllabus and other course information, and to do short quizzes and tests. 

 

Often, classes can be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the class must be substituted. The difficulty here is notifying the cancellation and rescheduling to all members of the class. When done using Allytte E-attendance, the cancellation and substitution will appear on the student’s E-attendance schedule. No need for extra notification. And students can keep track of the new schedule. This can reduce any mistake that may occur both for the faculty and the students.

What is special about Allytte E-attendance is its reasonable pricing and immediate service. 

 

All Allytte E-attendance requires is integration with your school’s academic and course DB. If you are already using Allytte services, you can implement Allytte E-attendance within 3~4 days, if using Allytte for the first time, within 2 weeks. 

 

For most E-attendance, you need to install NFC tag boards or Bluetooth beacons. Individually they do not cost much, but installing them for hundreds of classrooms may be costly and time-consuming. However, if you are using Allytte’s GPS-based E-attendance you don’t have to install devices for every classroom, reducing the cost of hardware.

 

Allytte E-attendance, like all Allytte services, is an annual subscription service based on the number of users(students).
